They will expand upon the article linked below, beginning with an overview of the student loan market and current options to help with post-graduation financial stability. They will then open up a discussion about how actuaries can continue to innovate in the student loan space.

Drew and Katie intend to make this interactive and will spend a good amount of time on a Q&A component. The session will include students from a handful of different actuarial programs across the Midwest. To make sure they can cover all of the topics you are interested in, we encourage you to read through the article and submit questions in advance via Survey Monkey.

Our goal is to explore of one of the many “non-traditional” applications of actuarial science, so you have a tangible example to share with family and friends when asked about your future career.
